This Lantern and Larks site, Kittisford Barton, is located in the rolling Somerset hills, this stunning glamping site contains five tents and is bound to be a hit with all ages. Settle into your luxury safari tent, complete with wood-fired hot tub and surrounded by the unspoilt Somerset countryside, and feel your stress drift away. If you’re travelling with friends or family, book more than one tent for a perfect group break.

Each of our tents accommodates up to six and has three bedrooms that each sleeps two people. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bed room per tent. If necessary you could also fit a travel cot in any of the bedrooms (these can be hired if required).

If you fancy a little bit of downtime, each of our safari tents has a two-person hot tub for your exclusive use located next to your tent. These are the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the morning birdsong and views of the nearby wildflower meadow. Or experience the wonderfully starlit night's sky whilst you soak in the comfort of your own secluded haven. (Additional charges apply for use of the hot tub).

Lantern & Larks have chosen this secluded spot on the Somerset-Devon border as it oozes peace and tranquillity. With the Blackdown Hills AONB creating an incredible backdrop, Kittisford Barton guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to country walks and patchwork scenery.

The Lantern & Larks experience of glamping provides you with a gentle balance between an outdoor holiday on the Somerset coast and all the modern comforts. At Kittisford Barton you will experience peace and tranquillity in such a way that avoiding the sense of relaxation will be impossible. Our low pitch numbers and generous spacing between tents provides a genuine sense of exclusivity and luxury.

Further afield there is even more on offer. Grab a map of the local area and venture into the countryside. You are in a prime position for spotting local wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for deer and an endless supply of birdlife. Join one of the many walking routes criss crossing the Blackdown Hills and immerse yourself in the wooded valleys or riverside scenery. An ongoing programme of events means there is always something going on to take your fancy.

From Kittisford Barton you can easily explore the coastal areas of Devon and Somerset. Within an hour from your base you will find the golden sands of family-friendly Minehead or the salt marshes of Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve, a haven for waders and waterfowl located at the mouth of the River Parrett. The south coast offers Sidmouth's popular sandy beach and the famous coastal town of Lyme Regis which is loved for its stunning location amongst the iconic Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
