Located on Moreton Common surrounded by glorious countryside and forest, Primrose Cottage is a quaint and pretty listed thatched cottage with character and charm in abundance.

Almost 200 years old, Primrose Cottage has been carefully refurbished and is a beautiful thatched gem. This charming Grade II listed cottage cleverly combines modern furnishings whilst celebrating its age and heritage, and makes a perfect base for exploring the delights of Dorset and the nearby Jurassic Coast.

On the ground floor the cottage has an attractive and cosy open-plan sitting and dining area with a two seater sofa, an armchair, wood burning stove sitting in the inglenook fireplace. Enjoy meal times at the circular dining table and four chairs, within the comfort of the sitting area, and fireplace. The bright and modern well-equipped kitchen is the perfect space for rustling up wholesome meals. Also on the ground floor, you will find a family bathroom which has a bath with an electric shower over, a wash basin and a separate WC.

The first floor is accessed via the cottage stairs which has a large bedroom with a king-size bed and cosy seating area making this cottage an ideal couples retreat.

At the rear of the cottage is a secluded garden with patio and dining area including a table and chairs. To the front of the cottage is a carefully nurtured wildflower meadow with cut paths leading to an apple tree and meandering around the garden.

Primrose Cottage is a peaceful retreat, surrounded by nature, and a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Moreton is a village approximately 7 miles east of the county town Dorchester, but close enough to explore the beautiful surrounding area and the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, with the famous, picturesque Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The Jurassic Coastline is home to over 300 coastal country walks, offering some breathtaking views over Dorset’s 200 million year old shoreline.

For those who are after some peace and tranquillity, sign up for a workshop, events and many more, on your doorstep, a visit to Sculpture by the Lakes set in 26 acres of glorious countryside, is the perfect choice.

A family day out to Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World is always worth a visit and packed with fun for all ages.

Dorset is Thomas Hardy country and a visit to Hardy's Cottage a few miles away is one of the many National Trust properties in the area to explore - Max Gate, the former Victorian home of Thomas Hardy and designed by him is situated on the outskirts of Dorchester, just off the A35.

Clouds Hill, the former home of T.E. Lawrence is an isolated cottage near Wareham and is run by the National Trust.

For those with an interest in the trade union history, the Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum tells the story of the Martyrs' arrest, trial and punishment.
