Pencoed, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales
Nestling next to a 16th century former Rectory, Nos Da (“good night” in Welsh) is a beautifully presented contemporary cottage sleeping four in complete comfort. The open-plan living space comprising kitchen, dining area and sitting room with wood burning stove, also features bi-fold doors which open out on to a private terrace and garden. Completing Nos Da is the luxurious master bedroom with 6’4 Superking bed and en-suite bathroom, a second bedroom with two 3' singles that can be configured as one 6' zip and link bed on request and separate family shower room. This detached, single-storey holiday cottage sits in the owner’s grounds of four acres of delightful gardens, which guests are welcome to explore. The small sleepy hamlet of Llanilid lies on the edge of Rhondda Cynon Taff and borders the two neighbouring counties of the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend. The area is steeped in history boasting an 11th century Norman motte and bailey castle mound, a Norman church which still serves the local community twice a month, a Roman military camp (Gadlys) and the owners’ 16th century Old Rectory. This picturesque setting is backed by ancient woodlands and surrounded by leafy lanes which are ideal for walkers and cyclists. The Cwtch sleeping two guests is also available to book at this location.

Secluded location. Lovely hosts.. garden access to the church. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Lovely welcome hamper with enough to last a few days
Excellent cottage, very friendly and helpful hosts.
Excellent little cottage in a beautiful setting. We had wonderful weather so took full advantage of the garden. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nos Da and the owners are so helpful. Just perfect.
Lovely comfortable cottage. Cosy and warm. Very well equipped. Welcoming owners. Generous welcome hamper. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Beautifully equipped cottage, everything you could need is provided. High standard of fittings and lovely private garden area if you wish to use it. Easy access to M4 to travel around, so good location. Beds very comfy, would recommend having second bedroom as a twin, think it works better. We would be happy to return if that way again. Steve the owner was very helpful and welcoming.
Great property, well designed with every home comfort. The owners are extremely helpful and on hand if you have any questions. Fantastic welcome pack with local products.
An absolute gem of a cottage. Modern and luxuriously kitted out. Extra touches like fluffy robes and towels and slippers gave it that 5 star experience. A very generous welcome back including eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, milk, butter and bread was supplied. This cottage is set in the most beautiful garden. Plenty of place for kids to run around. If you want peace and tranquillity, this place has it in buckets.
A beautiful place to stay with an excellent welcome hamper. The owners were very welcoming and helpful with local information. Would definitely stay here again.
Nos Da is a beautiful and stylish cottage in a good location for exploring Cardiff and South Wales. We weren't able to use the lovely outside area due to very heavy rain during our stay. Friendly and helpful owners.
Large, clean, comfortable suit and a great hosts. Already missing it.
We also booked the neighbouring property, The Cwtch, and my comments are the same. Spotlessly clean, would definitely recommend, and would visit again. Thank you Steve and Sue!
Beautiful cottage, lovely, peaceful location, all the amenities we could ask for, kind and informative host. Added bonus--right in the midst of a historic area, including an ancient church next door! We wished we could stay for another week...
What a great review for Nos Da. Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your excellent feedback.
Beautifully appointed cottage in a perfect location for exploring South Wales.
Nos Da is a really lovely rental property. Although bijou, it had everything we needed. We had wall to wall sunshine and so sunbeds outside would have been a bonus! The property is modern and extremely homely. Would highly recommend!
A beautifully designed, comfortable cottage. Steve and Sue have obviously put a lot of thought and care into Nos Da. They communicated with us both before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Our welcome hamper was full of local goodies to help us feel at home. We did, 8ndeed, feel like welcome guests.
Thank you so much for your feedback for Nos Da and the thoughtful care and attention given to our guests by the owners.
A beautiful property in a great location with superb hosts. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful cottage very warm and comfortable high quality fitting and furnishings wonderful welcome basket of food warm welcome from hosts
Steve and Sue are delightful and helpful owners, but remained sensitive to our need for privacy in spite of living just a few yards away from the cottage. The cottage itself is well-furnished, well-equipped and very comfortable. We appreciated the extremely generous hamper of goodies, and the extra touches were very much appreciated (crackers, Christmas tree, courtesy slippers and dressing gowns). A lot of care and thought has been put into not only the presentation of the cottage but the needs of the holiday visitors, and as a result we had a restful and very happy Christmas.
Wow, what wonderful feedback for your Christmas at lovely Nos Da. Thank you so much.
