"We really enjoyed our stay."
The beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot running water which is often a problem with a big property. One bathroom was clean but with a couple of minor spots - some mould spoors on the ceiling and sone long black hairs in the shower. The towel racks in the bathroom were scorching hot to touch and with the warm weather it made the bathrooms very hot. It wasn’t possible to adjust the temperature. With some investigation we discovered a switch in the bedrooms that could turn them off completely. This meant damp towels though. 4:30pm arrival is the latest we’ve ever had for a holiday cottage which wasn’t great. Sadly, we won’t return as the traffic noise was too much. Even though the weather was warm we couldn’t sleep with the windows open due to the traffic noise. Not sure what the solution is but for a country break it’s just not what you want. Thanks for accommodating us.

"Fogga Cottage is a lovely, well equipped holiday cottage."
We were a party of 8 adults and 4 children (aged 2yrs to 11yrs).
Check in was straight forward and the hotel staff very helpful. Any issues were dealt with promptly.
The hot tub was a big hit with the family.
The only small suggestion we have is that instructions are provided on how to use the hob (none of us had ever come across an induction hob with controls like that before!). Other than this, everything was great.

"The cottage was lovely and well maintained."
There were lots of comments about how comfortable the beds were. We were a bit short of fridge space and an extra fridge in the utility room would have been an added bonus. The only problem we had was with the hob controls. There was no real guidance and we couldn’t make it work. However, when I rang the hotel two young chefs hurried over and showed us how to run our fingers round the centre which was good but we found it difficult to operate all week. The road noise was annoying during the night but all in all we had a lovely time in a very comfortable cottage in a beautiful place.

"We had a lovely stay at Fogga as a group of 11 adult friends (or twelve, we had two people change places midweek and the hotel were great at providing us with fresh bedding to facilitate this!"
) The kitchen could do with a few small improvements like not providing oven trays that are too big to fit in any of the ovens (!), providing some silicon utensils rather than the metal ones that have clearly damaged the frying pans, and replacing the missing fridge/freezer drawers. The electric hob also took some getting used to as to controlling it! We found just having one big room as diner/lounge to be a little close with so many of us, but it was a lovely space otherwise and the hot tub and BBQ outside were very much enjoyed. One other small flaw was the downstairs king room has a door to the outside in it, which means it has emergency lighting - which glowed green all through the night and made sleeping difficult for those in that room! We think it was just the little light to show the emergency lighting was working, so this could perhaps be remedied somehow? The main hotel across the road has a gorgeous lake to walk round, and we enjoyed booking a slot at the spa and making use of the facilities there for a discounted rate as guests. Gargrave co-op was just down the road for any little bits we needed and Gargrave was another lovely place for a walk. Skipton was also worth a day trip to see the town and castle. Overall we had a fabulous week, thank you!

"We all enjoyed a lovely stay here."
It was near a busy main road, however you didn’t hear that when you were in the cottage.
It was perfect for a girls get together in fact it was my hen do and it was great that there was a spa across the road.
The hot tub was a great addition and was maintained every morning by a very friendly guy!
You would have to drive to get anywhere with this property however that wasn’t a problem for us.
There was one thing in that one of the twin rooms was very small. There were 10 of us staying (all adults) and although it was advertised as a twin it was really a twin for children not adults.
There was no bedside table or lamp as there wasn’t enough room for one with 2 singles in there.
Just a couple of little issues were the pillows in the bedrooms were very hard and not comfortable at all.
Also there was no coffee machine so that would have been a good addition.
We still had a good stay however and would recommend.

One bedroom floor was so creaky you couldn’t move without waking up the people in the room below. Hotel didn’t inform us there was a wedding at the hotel so music played into the night and there was fireworks and we had taken a dog and a baby so it would have been good to know as I could’ve put my baby in a room away from where the noise was had I known.

I have already recommended it to my friends. The staff on reception were very polite and helpful and the hot tub service staff came round every day. My grandson loved the conker tree right outside the property and we spent ages collecting many many conkers! It was a perfect place to spend time with my family celebrating my big birthday. Nearby Gargrave is a lovely village with a great cafe, fish and chip takeaway and restaurant and coop. We also had amazing takeaway pizzas from a nearby pizzeria too. Skipton is a lovely market town to visit and Grassington wasn’t far either.
