Einhell REDAXXO 36/25 36v Cordless Garden Shredder
It is in the nature of garden shredders that it's not always convenient to have to plug them into a power socket. Historically the only alternative was a petrol machine but that comes with its own inconveniences. The new REDAXXO 36/25 cordless garden shredder effectively bridges the gap between these options by running on Power X-Change batteries - giving you all the freedom of a petrol machine without the hassles of maintenance or safely storing fuel. Shredders are powerful machines so the REDAXXO 36/25 has a 36v motor instead of the standard 18v motors in used of the Power X-Change system. However it doesn't require a separate type of battery as instead it uses Twin-Pack technology and runs on two standard 18v Power X-Change batteries simultaneously. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Garden Shredders Important Information
The capacity of Garden Shredders is affected by a number of factors and will be reduced from the stated figures in some instances. Green wood with high moisture content, wet wood, especially hard wood can all cause the shredder to struggle to shred efficiently. Never shred wood that has a diameter larger than the stated figures and in instances as above shred only smaller diameters. Allow sufficient time to cool the motor when shredding large amounts in order to avoid burnout.

The Einhell REDAXXO is great for shredding moderate amounts of garden prunings. It is good for me as I can use it on my allotment where there is no power. The shredder is powerful and shreds anything up to 2.5cm diameter with ease.
A very effective and versatile garden shredder, which is handy for use anywhere as powered by rechargeable batteries. Does a reasonably good job of compacting most garden debris, although could be improved by cutting the chippings a little finer. However, they are still OK as they are.
Great little chipper, just not great with himalayan balsam. So wouldn't recommend using on soft root plants. Great with everything else so far. Happy with the proformance and battery life is good. Easy to clean.
