Black and Decker BCD700S 18v Cordless Combi Drill
The BCD700S is a 2 gear combi drill which is powered by batteries from Black & Decker's 18v lithium ion platform, meaning it shares battery compatibility with a wide range of DIY & garden power tools. The drill is available with batteries and charger or as a body only machine for users who already own other tools from the range. With a powerful hammer action for drilling into concrete or masonry and a 10 position clutch which provides precise torque control for driving screws, the BCD700S is well equipped to cope with just about any drilling or screwdriving task around the home. The variable speed trigger provides fingertip control over all tasks, while the choice of gears enable the user to select either low speed and high torque (eg for driving screws) or high speed for rapid drilling. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained

Quality, value, fast service Thanks
It does exactly as required without being too heavy. Ideal for lighter DIY work but not for heavy duty stuff.
Good general purpose drill, hammer drill & driver combination, of small size, so very useful where access is limited. I use this lightweight drill for small scale DIY around house (& those of daughters & sons) & garden, rather than using heavyweight corded tools & extensions, unless the job requires such. Battery charger supplied is soso, but I now own a B&D 12v/56v rapid charger, which is a much better bit of kit. Have previously owned the same since 2018 but "donated" it to youngest son, hence purchase of new this month.
I have ordered 4 of these and two did not work as the power trigger did not work and look new but was sold to us as new, first one I got has worked ok and the one from Tooled up has worked ok. I am concerned there may be an underlying fault but we do not know and B&D have not said there are problems, I need two to work better as swopping tools is time and at the price Tooled up are selling they are a bargain.
