Designed for the Mac Pro and built within a full-height MPX module, the 32TB Pegasus R4i RAID Storage MPX Module from Promise Technology allows you to expand the internal storage of your Mac Pro. Fitting into your Mac Pro's MPX slot, the R4i has four SATA II drive bays, each equipped with an 8TB 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5" hard drive. It's formatted HFS+ and is preconfigured as RAID 5, providing a combination of data redundancy, performance and transfer speeds of up to 680 MB/s. In addition, RAID 0, 1, 6, and 10, are all supported, each providing performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. Or, if you do not require RAID, you can configure the R4i as JBOD.

Please Note: The overall storage capacity of the R4i depends on its configuration. In default RAID 5 configuration, one drive is used for data redundancy which leaves 24TB of usable space.
