Bosch UNIVERSALPUMP P4A 18v Cordless Air Pump
Compact, battery powered and easy to use, the 18v UniversalPump from Bosch makes short work of inflating tyres on cars and bikes, as well as sports balls, beach inflatables and numerous outdoor accessories. It comes with a 67cm hose and a set of adaptors, all of which can be stored neatly on the tool in between uses. The long hose means that users don't have to crouch down while using the pump and can operate it from a comfortable standing position, while the airflow of up to 30 litres per minute ensures that even larger inflatables can be pumped up in rapid time. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Bosch PowerForAll
The Bosch PowerForAll Tool range is a range of tools you can buy knowing that batteries are compatible with all tools in the range providing they are of the same voltage. eg 18v fits 18v, 12v (10.8v) fits 12v (10.8v) etc. Please also note that 10.8v is compatible with 12v & vice versa as it is just a name change. Indego Lawnmowers also use the PowerForAll 18v battery but require a cover plate to be removed if changing.
PowerForAll has many advantages not least the fact that once you have a tool with a few batteries then there is no need to buy the more expensive versions with battery & charger, you can just go ahead & buy the much cheaper no battery versions!
So remember PowerForAll signifies complete battery compatibility throughout the range. There is however, one caveat to this, some of the very first older chargers will not charge the very latest batteries & a battery charger upgrade will be required if you have a first generation charger. All batteries fit all tools however.
As of 2021 Bosch has licensed PowerForAll to other manufacturers whereby batteries between these manufacturers will be interchangeable.
Important
You cannot use Bosch Pro (Blue) batteries in either 12v or 18v DIY (Green) products.

Excellent pump - really well made - if you want to use it a lot then you need to order the bigger battery but if just for normal top ups then the standard batt is fine. Best price and rapid delivery from TU.
The product is value for money. What missing is if we can set PSI it should have a feature to autofill till that level.
Works great, used it on car tyres and also a push bike using the presta adaptor and it inflates quickly. Very handy being cordless, I wanted one that can be used in the garage and anywhere else without plugging into a car 12v adaptor. Already had the battery and charger for a Bosch drill that came with two batteries so all good.
I bought this air pump simply for the convenience of not having to queue and to pay to use the air pump at my local petrol station, with all the hassle which that involves. In that respect, it is an expensive nice-to-have, especially if you don't have other Bosch tools which use the same battery. But, as with the other Bosch tools I have, it is an excellent piece of kit. Its only downside, and the reason I have only awarded four stars for performance, is its "French connection". This is the same as the connector on a Michelin footpump I bought some time ago. The connector screws on to the tyre valve, and, if you don't keep a tension between the screwed end and the main body of the connector as you are screwing it on and off, air can be lost. In other words, pull don't push.
