By constantly monitoring tool and battery operation, the intelligent switch module maximizes performance and prevents damage caused by overload or temperature build-up. This technology, combined with a tough outer casing and superb ergonomics means that XR Lithium-ion is truly "Tough on the outside & Intelligent on the inside". It is part of the intelligent XR Li-ion Series, designed for efficiency and for making applications faster. The saw has a powerful and highly efficient PM58 DeWalt fan cooled motor with replaceable brushes, which delivers fast cutting action of up to 2,950 strokes per minute with 28.6mm stroke length - this maximises user productivity. The intelligent variable speed trigger, lock-off switch and electronic motor brake ensure quick, controlled cuts and enhanced work safety, and a lever-action keyless blade clamp allows quick and easy blade changes. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
