Makita DHR242 18v LXT Cordless Brushless SDS Hammer Drill
Makita DHR242 SDS Plus Hammer Drill has an efficient brushless DC motor that provides higher productivity. It has a slide chuck for quick and easy SDS Plus bit changes. It offers 3 modes of operation: Rotary drilling, Hammer drilling or Chiseling. The tool body is separated into the upper and lower housings at the foot of the handle portion where the houses are jointed with vibration absorbing cushion rubbers. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Read 1 Customer Review(s) for Makita DHR242 18v LXT Cordless Brushless SDS Hammer Drill
This was my second drill of this model. The first one got jammed on the chisel function and then blew the selector switch off. Since I already had the batteries & charger I just bought another bare unit and giving it a second chance. Does work well for an 18V drill when working though. Very good service and fast delivery from Tooled-up.
