Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Read 2 Customer Review(s) for Makita DJR186 18v LXT Cordless Reciprocating Saw
Since I already own quite a few 18v Makita tools it made sense to purchase a bare unit reciprocating saw. It came with two blades which was unexpected. The saw performance is very good and is sufficient for all my diy needs.
I'm a commited Makita user as I have the charger and LXT batteries. Hence my purchase of this bare unit to add to my collection. Very impressed immediately with the sturdiness of the machine in hand. Actually larger than I anticipated, cuts really powerfully. Very pleased, just a couple of cuts so far but don't expect any reliability issues with Makita. Five stars all round from me including value for money and great service from TOOLED-UP.
