DeWalt's DCMST561 is a cordless grass trimmer which is powered by an 18v XR power tool battery. It has a patented folding split shaft design which means the whole machine can be quickly folded up whenever you need to save space during transport and storage; when you need to use it, simply unfold the shaft, clip it into place and you're ready to go. Battery power means you don't have to worry about buying and transporting hazardous fuel or undertaking time-consuming maintenance tasks, and as the DCMST561 is an 18v machine it shares battery compatibility with a wide range of professional grade DeWalt XR cordless tools for trade and industry, as well as other landscaping tools like hedge trimmers and leaf blowers. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
