Forgefix Loft Legs
Loft Legs raise the loft floor by 175mm for energy efficient loft storage and help to avoid compression of the insulation, thus maintaining the U Values. They are screwed directly to the ceiling joists. Loft boards (tongue and groove loft panels or 18mm chipboard sheets) are then screwed on top of the Loft Legs to create a raised platform above the level of insulation. Squashing or compressing insulation reduces its effectiveness by over 50%. Home owners have traditionally had to make a choice with their lofts, full insulation OR usable storage space, the Loft Leg allows for both. They are manufactured in the UK from recycled materials.
