In der Supergroup Universum25 finden fünf Musiker aus bekannten deutschen Rockbands zusammen: Sänger Michael Robert Rhein gehört zur Mittelalterband In Extremo, Gitarrist Pat Prziwara spielt bei Fiddler's Green, Gitarrist Gunnar Schroeder ist Frontmann der Punkband Dritte Wahl, Bassist Rupert Keplinger ist sonst mit der Neue-Deutsche-Härte-Band Eisbrecher unterwegs, und Drummer Alex Schwers ist durch die Punkgruppe Slime bekannt. Auf ihrem selbstbetitelten Debütalbum, erschienen im März 2023, mischt das Quintett entsprechend die Elemente ihrer Hauptbands: Die Songs kommen als Mix aus Electro-Rock, kantigem Metal und wildem Punk daher. Textlich beschäftigen sich die Musiker mit verschiedensten politischen und gesellschaftlichen Themen wie Fremdenfeindlichkeit oder Verschwörungstheorien – und passend dazu covern sie den Ton-Steine-Scherben-Klassiker "Der Traum ist aus". Die Platte kam auf Platz 10 der deutschen Charts.
