Seit 2011 ist die Band Santiano aktiv und vermischt ihre Seemannslieder mit Schlager, Pop und Rock – und die sechs Studioalben der ersten zehn Jahre kamen allesamt an die Spitze der deutschen Charts. 2022 hält die Gruppe mit der Compilation Die Sehnsucht ist mein Steuermann Rückschau. Songs wie "Gott muss ein Seemann sein", "Es gibt nur Wasser", "Hoch im Norden" oder "Was du liebst" werden in neuen Versionen dargeboten, ebenso wie die Bandhymne "Santiano", die hier in englischsprachiger Version mit Nathan Evans zu hören ist. Das Titellied dagegen wurde mit Synje Norland als Duett eingespielt. Dazu kommen auch neue Songs im vertrauten Santiano-Klang, zum Beispiel "Ode an das Meer".

Seit 2011 ist die Band Santiano aktiv und vermischt ihre Seemannslieder mit Schlager, Pop und Rock – und die sechs Studioalben der ersten zehn Jahre kamen allesamt an die Spitze der deutschen Charts. 2022 hält die Gruppe mit der Compilation Die Sehnsucht ist mein Steuermann Rückschau. Songs wie "Gott muss ein Seemann sein", "Es gibt nur Wasser", "Hoch im Norden" oder "Was du liebst" werden in neuen Versionen dargeboten, ebenso wie die Bandhymne "Santiano", die hier in englischsprachiger Version mit Nathan Evans zu hören ist. Das Titellied dagegen wurde mit Synje Norland als Duett eingespielt. Dazu kommen auch neue Songs im vertrauten Santiano-Klang, zum Beispiel "Ode an das Meer".
