Zwischen 1963 und 1965 spazierten die Rolling Stones regelmäßig in den Studios des BBC ein und aus, um hier Livesessions, mit dem Ziel, für ihre Lieder zu werben, aufzunehmen. Mehr als ein halbes Jahrhundert später kompiliert ABKCO (welche in Besitz des Kataloges der Gruppe bis ins Jahr 1970 ist) diese Perlen, die damals in Sendungen wie Saturday Club, Yeah Yeah, die Joe Loss Pop Show, Blues In Rhythm oder auch Top Gear ausgestrahlt wurden. Kompositionen, die sicherlich mehr als bekannt sind, hier aber in energiegeladenen und ehrlich-ungeschliffenen Versionen dennoch neu überraschen werden. Der Sound wurde natürlich nachbearbeitet, um dem Standard von heute ein wenig gerecht zu werden, aber dennoch bleibt die typische Sixties-Note darin erhalten. © CM/Qobuz
