Montane Terra Pants (Short Leg) are lightweight, hard-wearing and weather resistant mountain trousers ideal for adventurers out in all seasons wanting supreme weather protection.

Ideal for any demanding outdoor sports, the Terra keeps on going through all weathers.  TACTEL® fabrics together with a TEFLON® surface finish allow you to scrape, scratch and abuse your trousers on the mountain side.

The TACTEL® Nylon outer provides a cotton-like feel, which doesn’t rustle or crackle, but retains the durability and fast drying qualities of Nylon. The tight weave of TACTEL® together with a TEFLON® surface finish helps water to bead up and run off the fabric face.

The Terra has an active cut with a high lift crotch and pre-bent knees for a large range of movement. The fabrics are protective against UPF40+ and the pants have mesh pockets to stash energy gels, snacks and money for a quick beverage.

Comfortable, lightweight, highly technical, and designed specifically for the rigours of trekking and scrambling.

Check the review from Trail Magazine above, to see how they perform after a year's wear and tear.

Fantastic trousers!

Very good trousers for the price that you pay, had these a few moths now and been on some rugged walks and had zero issues. Great quality as expected from Montane. The fit is true to size.

Got Wet & Cold not worth £75 absolute rubbish.

When I wore these for the first time it was raining & the wind was blowing so I put thermal underwear on underneath.I got cold legs then they got wet & the water ran into my boots down my thermals.

Undeniable quality.. Questionable waistline?
3_5 out of 5

Excellent feel to this product, very comfortable, fit around the legs is nice and the button adjustments around the ankle are really smart. The materials used are premium and durabilty is well documented so I have no fears about these lasting.
The negative? The waistline is snug.. It is elasticated and intentionally designed to stretch out and grip the waist but it feels tighter than it perhaps needs to be. It is still very comfortable and I expect the elastic to soften often time making it less huggy.
Overall well worth the money and I own 4 pairs of trousers from 4 different manufacturers so I have a decent amount of experience

OK, but

Decent fitting trousers which do offer good wind protection, but are described as being water repellent. Believe me, your legs will be soaking wet after a decent 5 min shower.

Montane Terra Pant

Excellent pair of trousers, bought these for many different hiking and climbing activities, the trousers feel very light and are trey flexible, allows a lot of leg room and feels like your legs are able to breath, great value for money would highly suggest these trousers.

Montane Terra Pant (Men's) Short Leg

I was very pleased that my order could be shipped to the US. Package arrived in JFK customs very quickly BUT......... since that value of the goods was over $150 I had to pay an addition $51 duty before the package would be cleared by US Customs. Had I broken my purchase into smaller orders (<$150) no duty payment would would have be assessed.

Otherwise the pants are as advertised. Ordered the XL short - inseam was good but the tailoring is a little on the slim side for a full figured guy.

Cracking pair of trousers, comfy fit light but windproof, side vents work well and pockets add venting aswell, but really need more pockets no excuse for not having at least one rear pocket, I really like a cargo pocket that takes an os map but may not work with side vents but still love them

Montane Men Terra Pant

Good fit trouser, but the elastic waist is far too tight and strong, very uncomfortable ! I bought the Berghaus Lonscale Pant instead, is fit nicely & comfortable.

Almost perfect

Really great fit and use of fabrics but a real lack of pockets. There are no rear pockets and no leg pockets, only the two zipped hand pockets on the sides. I like zipped pockets, especially for travelling, but the absence of at least one back pocket mean they aren't quite ideal. Other than that these trousers are excellent.
