Breathes life back into boots

Began to see my boots where starting to hold water in certain areas after walks, not leaking inside but still. Quick clean and then apply this, good as new! Works best on my GFs Scarpa mistrals GTX. She stands in a river and you can see the water virtually beading on her feet.

Great product

This proofing is great to apply, water based so no horrible fumes. If you soak/wet the boots first then apply the proofing will penetrate better into the spots that need it most.

Reliable

Everyone's heard of it. We know what it does. It does it well and won't break the bank.

My only complaint was I went for a sponge applicator and found this didn't get between eyelets as easily as when I do it normally.

It was a minor complaint. It's still good.

Nikwax aqueous wax

This is an excellent product. It's the only one I use now to keep my boots waterproofed. The only thing I don't like is the sponge applicator; to be honest, I remove it and enlarge the hole in the top. Then I tip out a small amount of the liquid wax onto the boot, and spread it around with a small paintbrush. Painting your boots is really quite therapeutic! After drying overnight, the leather or fabric repels water for months.

I have used this on my walking boots now for the last year and it kept them really nice looking and clean . Together with the water proofing my 4 year boots look and feel as new

Coud be cheaper but definitely worth it

Have always used this with my Berghaus Expeditor AQ Trek boots, and it works everytime. For a good six months after every proofing, water simply runs off the boot upper, and my feet stay dry! Have to make sure that they wet the boots beforehand, but with a bit of work, you can get some great results. Highly recommended.

Good product, flawed packaging
4_5 out of 5

Good the genius at Nikwax who uninvented the spray bottle please explain how this is applied to a soft item? Answer, it isn't. So firstly the product inside is great if you can get it out. You need to press hard on the item to release the product. It used to be "spray, spray, spray" to top up your boots now its "dab, dab, dab.....<20 minutes later>... dab, dab, dab". Genius. Oh and thanks for supplying it in the much more helpful 125ml quantities rather than the 300ml previously. Nice touch. I did manage to find the 300ml spray version elsewhere on the high street.
