The Vibram Kalden sole uses PU for great shock absorption, concealed and protected by the rubber outsole and integral rand, which eliminates the complexity of adding a separate rand which can so often be the cause of quality issues down the line. The cleating pattern features unique "propeller" cleats for outstanding underfoot grip on all terrain.
Scarpa use high quality full grain calf leather on these boots, approximately 2.5mm thick, ideal for fell or lighter weight hillwalking boots, which require less bedding in.

Going onto my second pair after 8 years of hard use & abuse Used in winter conditions northern Norway and Scotland, wet conditions in Wales and always kept my feet dry and warm with amazing grip
Basically when compared to the Terra 2s. You are gaining an extra bit of weight for a far superior build and the grip is insane. Highly impressed on a tricky decent through rock garden today.
Good quality boot however not comfortable. The lace buckle dig into the top of the foot on the crease. Tried thicker socks etc but still the same. Make sure to try and walk around store before buying
I had the Delta for 3 years.
These and the Deltas and have the same uppers, which are ready for long walks with no need to break them in. Leather is thinner but still good with a flat sole. BRILLIANT
After 8 years of hard abuse these boots have now died. I loved how they hugged and supported my feet. I was killing cheaper boots monthly before getting these. That's when they cost about £100!
Had these for over a year now. Can not fault quality of boot leather, waterproof totally. My problem is i find them to stiff with no give in soles whats so ever. And pain in shins the day after hiking
Go Outdoors have been superb replacing these boots under warranty but the third pair have now split after four months of very light use.
I’ve definitely had enough of these poor quality boots!
I got these to break in for a 400 mile hike. after 2 months average 5 miles/day they are just too painful to wear any longer.
Poor insole, poor sole flex.
good grip average waterproof
not impressed
I very recently bought these boots. During the third time in use in the mountains they were leaking on the inside at the toes - hard to believe when the boots cost nearly £200! So disappointing,
Very comfortable. Did 5km straight out of the box up a small river gorge in the rain. My feet remained dry. Use G-wax to preserve and waterproof the leather. Always clean and look after your boots
The boots are incredibly comfy, sturdy and warm. The help from staff at the Basingstoke branch was phenomenal. In particular Natalie was absolutely fantastic.
Well first off, i've had trouble finding boots wide enough in size 13. Many said the scarpa range is usually a bit narrow, but these are made on a bigger last & the shape suits me quite well. no blisters or major discomfort, & improving as i've done a few walks of about 5 miles, on typical Dartmoor winter conditions, ( no snow) for a total so far of about 50 miles. They are a good blend of tough enough & not too heavy. The leather took on water the first couple times, even after careful aplication of nikwax, but g wax has cured that. My feet stayed dry. I'm hesitant to give a comment on longevity in so short a time, but expect them to last pretty well with the care i'm giving them. Go outdoors (where I got them) were helpful & did a good price. I think I would give 3 stars for value at full price.
Perfect straight out the box and true to size. Fully recommend these boots!
Best value for money in the the Scarpa range in my opinion. I walk 50 to 80 miles per week in all weather and terrain but with good care the uppers outlast the soles and after a re-tread they’re good for another 12 months.
Like the quality and reasonable wt.Many thanks to staff at Hull branch for advice and straight forward exchange, much appreciated
These are an exact replacement smart pair. The old ones I have worn for walking, working and everything else virtually every day for 24 months as I need the ankle support. Excellent boots and worth the money.
Excellent boots , have replaced like for like after many miles hard walking
Its a great boot and fits really snuggly immediately. I wear mine daily. If its not the leather cracking around the bend in the toe arch it's the wearing of the sole rather quickly. Repair costs £100!
Great boots...prefer these over Meindl Bhutan's.
Used my boots daily for 8 months walking the dog 2 miles and they have performed brilliantly. I’ve forded rivers, trudged over deep muddy fields and my feet never get wet. I clean/air at end of walk
