The Merrell Intercept is a versatile shoe with a sculpted and breathable leather upper, mesh lining and tongue, and anatomical footbed. It moves with your foot to keep you comfortable whatever you're doing.
Its Vibram® Axis Sole, made with Sticky Rubber, provides traction and hold, whilst the Merrell® air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability, great on wet surfaces or gravel.
The bellows tongue keeps out dirt and debris, whilst the breathable lining treated with antimicrobial Aegis prevents bacteria from building up.
The comfort of the Intercept comes from the Ortholite Anatomical Footbed, the moulded nylon arch shank as well as the In-Board Compression moulded EVA footframe which cushions every step.
For general abrasion resistance, a toe cap prevents scratches and scrapes to either you, or your shoes.

Comfortable
They are a great shoe very comfortable loads of grip but not long lasting you’d be lucky to get a year out of them the hell wears very quickly

Great
I have had these now for just under a year and use them 4 days a week at work. On average a walk around 7 miles a day when I’m working to work at work and home.
Definitely recommend, would buy again

Love these... but rubber joint fails/rip (see other reviews)
Love these shoes - great fit, support and feel however after about a year they rip at the point where the foot bends. Disappointing to fail after light/ occasional use... See other reviews

Very disappointed
Previously had merrell slam and chameleon and they where great but I find these weird fitting especially the heel, your heel keeps sliding out the shoe , absolutely crap at £110 a pair , get it sorted

Not worth the money
1. Sizing is small
2. Poor heel support, the sole profile leads to rolling
3. Grip poor
Have bought cheaper Karrimore and HiTec in the past and found them to be far superior. Was expecting much more.

Fantastic Shoes.....But
These are truly fantastic shoes.The trouble is that i wear them all of the time for everything.I did read a few reviews before,stating that they split where the shoe bends..They have on the rubber bit

Great all-round shoe
I'm on my 4th pair of these shoes, simply because they're the most comfortable, and practical, shoe not just for outdoor walking, dog walking etc, but just for general day-to-day wear as well.

Mmmmm
Brilliant when I first got them. Comfy straight on. But, after 5month they started leaking water while walking to my car. On further investigation I noticed the leather had split in a couple of areas

Superb comfort
I've had Merrel shoe before and they've always been of a very good quality. This pair are the most comfortable pair of Merrel shoes I had by far. Great value too.

Poor quality
2nd time I've had to return these shoes to GoOutdoors due to the seams coming away where the shoe bends when you walk. Check yours after 1-2 months

great walking shoe
These are my 2nd pair the 1st I wear for work due to doing a lot of walking in my job, the 2nd pair are for weekend walks etc & packpacking.
Great shoes very comfy & a pleasure to wear. I bought both pairs thru the price match system but I reckon that they are worth it at the full price too.

These are the comfiest shoe I’ve ever worn, I’ve had four pairs. The quality is so poor now, I barely got 9 months out of the last two pairs. The soles wear out rapidly and on both pairs tops split.
