Toggi Calgary Yard Boot

Very good quality and good value for money . Should stand the test of time as my previous pair took 4 years to finally wear out !

I have had several pairs of these boots over the years, and wouldn't buy anything else. I wear them all day every day for riding, walking and yard work.

They are extremely comfortable for all activities, they look reasonably smart, and are hard wearing. They represent very good value for money and I would definitely recommend them.

I have been eyeing these up for a long time, and seeing them on a good offer, ordered them in the 'normal' fit. Just gutted that they were way too wide for my calves, and they just looked like I had lumps in the back of my legs. Why or WHY is it not possible to get reasonably priced long riding boots for slim calves :-(

Brought these a week ago, I've worn the twice and they leaked!! They will be going straight back to the shop, even the manager recommended these.. Now left without a yard boot again!! Not happy

I purchased these boots for dog walking. I chose brown as the black colour looked a bit more feminine. I did struggle at first to get them on and I needed to use a long shoe/boot horn. The boots are very warm and look great. I was initially conscious that people might think they are women's boots. Have had a few women ask me what model they are and where i bought them from. Very happy with them.

This is my second pair of these boots, I've tried others but none are as comfortable. The last pair survived four years of riding and dog walking!

I'm currently on my third pair of these. That seems a lot, but bear in mind that I wear them for at least 20 hours a week for the last 8 years, in all weathers, and the second pair were eaten by my rabbit rather than wearing out.

They are very comfortable to wear for long periods and work as well on the ground as they do in the saddle. They're also less clumpy than a lot of the yard boots on the market, and look very stylish.

My third pair will hopefully not be my last as I fully intend to still be riding when these wear out in 5 years or so. Or my rabbit gets hungry again.

I got these boots when they were in the sale after my other yard boots had fallen apart, I absoulety love these boots, so comfy & hard wearing. Keep my feet lovely & warm in winter when riding. Wouldn recommend these boots to anyone

Bought these to replace my (fourth pair) of Hunters who have now lost the plot with their terrible fit and quality. I've had hunter wellies (two pair of rubber, one of neoprene) and leather field boots over the years and have finally admitted defeat and defected away from the brand.
I'm not a horseman but do plenty of outdoor country and dog walking two or three times a day.
As Neil says above, the foot size is overly generous. My accurate size in Meindels or Hunters is 7.5, as Toggi don't do halves I went for 42 (8 UK). With two pairs of socks they are fine as long as they don't get much softer, they then may start to feel too big. I suspect I could have got away with a seven. The calf width and height however is perfect for me and I'm short for a bloke at a stocky 5' 7" and they are tall but they soften around the back of the knee quickly, so my advice is stick with it, after a few wears they become more pliable. I really like the nubuck finish (I have black) and the overall shape is very good. The soles are brilliant, polyeurethane apparently, they have excellent grip considering they are not deeply cleated. You can actually jog in them (just to keep up with the Lab... I'm not a jogger!!)
You can wear these without looking like a stormtropper or a wannabe horseman, they just look right for outdoor stuff.
As for the rear zip, I'm an ex motorcyclist so used to back zips; the trick is to push the foot well forward before you push your heel down, this defelcts wear from the zip.
Overal great boots at an amazing price, just be mindful of the generous sizing.

Good boots, comfy for riding in. I'm now on to my second pair though they must have updated them in the last couple of years. My older ones had a better fit. I'm a size 7 normally, but in these boots the 7 was huge. They were also too long, digging into my knee. The 6 is a better fit. They have also updated the zip to a larger, thicker one, though I'm concerned it doesn't do up as smoothly as the old ones. We'll see how these go!

I found the boots seemed well made, but I would worry about the zip at the ankle point, where your putting your heal into the boot. The sizing seemed generous, broad on the toes. I went off the European sizes (42) as I generally find that's more reliable, but my feet were swimming around in there. I also found them long, ang diggingh into the back of my knee, as a ever ive found this has been the case since I was a kid, so I may have short lower legs :-)

love these boots and they are a great price but its near impossible for me to get my foot into them. I know I have high arches but im a size 9 and the top of my foot hits the boot and my heel is still hanging out. Sadly cant get them on

So wanted to have these boots but the back zip made it impossible for me to get them on - no idea why but just couldn't get my heel over the zip base.... Really sad as they look perfect!

I agree with Rose. My boots have too split at the elastic gussets (on both boots) about 3inches. Toggi are not interested and say 'retailers problem'. Very bad customer service from Toggi - will no longer buy this brand.

I struggle to find boots that are long enough and narrow enough for my 34" leg. These fit great. I wear one pair in the yard and another at work and no-one has noticed that they are not for the office. Husband liked them so much he paid for my 2nd pair!

These boot are lovely and comfortable and well made except for the elastic gussets. One split in my boot. Don't expect any help from Toggi. They have absolutely no concept of customer service. They do not reply to emails and if you call them fob you off saying "talk to the retailer, it's their responsibility". although the boots are nice I would not buy any more Toggi products due to their attitude.

Lovely product, very comfortable and looks good. As per Iris' comment, definately take a size bigger than normal as they are made small. Fantastic service from Edinburgh team, their support and flexibility is much appreciated.
