good shoe, poor laces
Comfortable walking shoes for medium hikes, but the lace on the right hand shoe started fraying within a couple of months (about ten wearings) which was poor.

Excellent walking shoe
Really comfortable and supportive from the off. Waterproofing works ok as far as I can tell. Expensive but really worth spending the extra.

Poor quality
1st & 2nd pair I bought years ago lasted well,. 3rd pair all the stitching has gone at the front of both. 4th pair not used a great deal and already the stitching has gone on 1. Not impressed!

Poor Quality Considering Price
I had just after one year and they started squeaking badly, I sent them back to Bramwell International who just returned them without any notification or reason why as they were?

OK, but buy MOAB's instead
Stylish, but not waterproof, soles come apart, inside of heel wears out fairly quickly. Tight if you've got wide feet. Merrell MOAB's are better value for about £40 less.

Only lasting a few months before leaking
I have had to return my last 3 pairs after just a few months - now on my 4th pair! Basically they leak - either the Goretex goes or the stitching at the front goes.I expected so much more from Meindl.

Excellent walking shoes
Just purchased my second pair after my first some 5 years previously. The shoe is very comfortable although I would say go a size larger as they can be a bit narrow. Water proof and durable. Quality

Great but short life expectancy for the cost
I've had two pairs of these. Grey ones in 2019 & brown ones in 2021. They're very comfortable & light for walking in dry weather. Wore them for everyday use too but only lasted 2 years. Disappointing.

very comfy but some limitations
A very comfortable pair of lightweight shoes. Stitching easily damaged, Mesh top is a grass seed magnet. Grip on sole grip coming away from sole plate in a couple of places.

Not as good as they were
I previously bought a pair to use for work as a market gardener and found them comfortable and long lasting. These are not both shoes have split after just 6 months. Very disappointing given the price

About to buy a second pair!
I am about to buy a second pair of the most comfortable and hardwearing walking shoe I have ever worn. Why Meindls? My duck feet! No other brand appears to have the width of my super comfy Meindls.

Not Impressed
Lasted less than 18 months. The Gore-tex waterproofing gave up after about a year. The the sole wore out at the same time and became detached from the rest of the shoe. Overpriced. Will not buy again

Great grip and support
Very grippy for scrambling and doing the descents, and rock hopping. Also felt very supportive and comfy. Dry inside despite drizzle all day long, but slightly damp when put in deep puddles. Great!!!

Good, light walking shoes
I bought a pair of these 4 years ago for a trip to Australia. I have been wearing them almost daily for the last 2 years as they are so comfortable. I have just bought another pair to replace them.

My third pair. Excellent, tough and long lasting. Unfortunately cannot say the same for GO outdoors where I had to pay for them twice (bought first on line via PayPal then required to pay again on collection) the promised refund to my PayPal account still outstanding after two weeks.

My second pair of Meindl GTX shoes after good experience with first pair. Waterproofing failed after a year and the soles are now falling off. A little over 2 years for £135. Never again!!
